Library Services during COVID-19

Both UNE Library buildings are currently closed to the outbreak of COVID-19.

While we plan to resume our on campus operations in August, 2020, we continue to support you with the following changes to our services.

Read our Return to Campus plan (PDF).

Library Resources

The vast majority of our resources are available in electronic formats. We have e-books, databases, online journals, streaming video and more all available from the library website.

Library Books

Print books and DVDs are available by mail to current students, faculty, and staff.

Returns

Books may be returned by mail or using the drop boxes located at the libraries’ entrance. If you have any questions about returns, please contact librarycirc@une.edu.

Printing Services

Printers are available in the Commons on the Biddeford Campus, and Innovation Hall on the Portland Campus. The printers in the library are not currently available while the library buildings are closed.

Research Assistance

Librarians can still help you – we are available by phone or email and have expanded the hours we are available by chat. We can also arrange Zoom meetings upon request, and we have many guides and tutorials and our FAQs to help you complete your assignments.

Special Collections

Special Collections staff are here to help you with your research. Some of our collection material is digitized, and we are also able to provide digital materials to researchers upon request. Please contact Cathleen Miller for research assistance.

Art Galleries

The Portland Campus and Ketchum Art Galleries remain closed at this time. The “Exhibitions” pages on our website feature photographs of installation views and artworks from the current exhibits. You can view video tours of the current exhibits:
