In light of the Covid-19 pandemic and the uncertainty that lies ahead, we have made the difficult decision to close our reading room to visitors this summer. While we know that this is a great disappointment to many who plan their year around research trips to archives in the summer months, we are acting for the safety of all to proactively close our doors to try to minimize the risk of spreading this disease further.
We will still be here for you, and will be stepping up our digitization on demand services to help ease the blow to our researcher community. We will do research on your behalf, wherever possible, and will continue to serve your needs during this crisis. We hope that by making this choice, we will be able to safely welcome you back into our reading room soon. We are currently working primarily remotely, but researchers are our priority, so don’t hesitate to get in touch if you have a question or need access to a document we hold. Be well and stay safe!
