Entrances

Power-assisted doors are located at the library main front entrance and the Bush Center main entrance.

Parking

Disability parking is available in the small parking lot outside the Windward Café at the library lower level below the Bush Center. Contact UNE’s Security Office for a permit to park in these spaces.

Restrooms

Accessible restrooms are available on all three library levels. All-gender restrooms are available on the main and upper levels.

Elevator

An elevator is located to the left of the main entrance and provides access to all library levels.

Study Rooms

Study rooms 4-8 are wheelchair accessible.

Silent Study Spaces

Silent study space is located on the upper level.

Sensory

Lighting throughout the building is natural spectrum LED. Study carrels on the library upper level have optional lights.

White noise machines, ear muffs, a light therapy lamp, and a weighted blanket are available for check-out at the front desk.

Entrances

There is a ramp and power-assisted doors at the library main entrance, located in the side courtyard opposite Alumni Hall. Approach the building from the main circle.

Parking

Disability parking is available in the parking lot behind the library.

Restrooms

Accessible restrooms are available on the main and lower levels. The main-level restroom is all-gender.

Elevator

An elevator is located to the left of the main entrance and provides access to all library levels.

Study Rooms

Rooms 4, 5, and 6 are wheelchair accessible.

Silent Study Spaces

Silent study space is located on the library lower level and the upper level in the book stacks area.

Sensory

Lighting throughout most of the building is natural spectrum LED. The library lower level is dimly lit and each study table is equipped with a table lamp. Many study carrels have optional lights.

White noise machines are available for check-out at the front desk.

Service Animals

Services animals are welcome in our library buildings. Read UNE’s policy on service and assistance animals.

Physical Library Items

We can help you retrieve library books and other materials from shelves. Ask at the front desk or search the library catalog and use the “hold for me” button; we’ll email you when your books are ready to be picked up at the library front-desk. Braille or large-print books can be requested through our Interlibrary Loan services. Downloaded audio books from cloudLibrary with a valid PRN or UNE ID card number.

Online Resources

The library offers access to a number of third-party resources, including databases, e-book providers, scholarly journals, and more. Each service has their own standards for accessibility. Contact us if you experience difficulty accessing library online resources.
