Biographical/Historical Note

Dean Richard Bond, 1917-2012, was a native of Portland, Maine. He was appointed Director of Admissions and Professor of English Literature at Westbrook College in 1953. In 1956 he became Acting Dean of the College and in 1957 Dean of the College. Aside from his work in the Westbrook College administration Dean Bond was an accomplished writer and poet.
