Chicago Style Guides

The Chicago Manual of Style covers grammar, usage, formatting, and documentation. It is widely used in the humanities and publishing.

The current 18th edition of The Chicago Manual of Style is available online.

Chicago Style, also known as Turabian, provides two different ways to refer to sources in a text: the Author-Date System (AD) and the Notes-Bibliography System (NB). See your syllabus, assignment instructions, professor, or publisher for guidance on which system to use.
