This collection consists of drafts and notes of Finch’s manuscripts including Coven/Invocations. The collection also includes correspondence, American Witch Enterprises materials, and publications.
Biographical/Historical Note
Annie Finch was born in 1956 in New Rochelle, New York. She graduated from Oakwood Friends’ School, a Quaker boarding school in Poughkeepsie, New York in 1973. She received her BA in English Literature from Yale in 1979, an MA in Creative Writing from the University of Houston and a PhD in English and American Literature from Stanford. Finch is a poet, author, translator, editor, and playwright and has published many books of poetry, including Calendars, The Encyclopedia of Scotland, Among the Goddesses, and Eve. She served as the Director of the Stonecoast MFA program at the University of Southern Maine from 2004 to 2012.
