Biographical/Historical Note

Born in Searsport, Maine in 1908, C. Elizabeth Sawyer, known as Lib, graduated from the University of Maine. She went on to teach in Castine, at the Aroostook State Normal School and the University of Southern Maine. She died in 1984.
