Biographical/Historical Note

Doris P. Faucher was born in Biddeford, Maine on April 27, 1934. She graduated from Biddeford High School in 1952, and graduated from the University of Maine in Orono with a bachelor’s degree in education, and later with a master’s degree in education from the University of Maine in Gorham. She married Norman R. Faucher, and worked as a teacher at the Biddeford Regional Vocational School, retiring in 1988. She wrote a series of historic fiction novels entitled Le Quebecois.
