This collection includes a booklet of poetry written by Jessie Cole and illustrated by her daughter.

Biographical/Historical Note

Jessie S. Cole was born in 1910 in Halifax, England and came to the United States at the age of 2. She lived in Sanford, Maine for most of her life, graduating from Sanford High School in 1927. In the 1950s, she won a writing contest where the prize was a writing course. This began her long career of writing historical features, children’s fiction, poetry and songs. She died at the age of 101 in 2011.
