This collection contains two articles – one about Portland home interiors and one about Nathan Winslow, an early 19th century Portland merchant.

Biographical/Historical Note

Joyce K. Bibber, professor, historian and writer, is a 1956 graduate of Westbrook Junior College and author of seven Maine books. She has her Ph.D from Stanford University and taught U.S. and Asian history at the University of Southern Maine until her retirement in 2001. Dr. Bibber served on the Maine Historic Preservation Commission for ten years, and is an active member of Greater Portland Landmarks and its advisory service. She lives in Gorham, Maine. Her books are titled as follows: Harpswell; Bath and West Bath; Westbrook College Campus; University of Southern Maine; Portland; Maine Coast Postcards; A Home for Everyman: The Greek Revival and Maine Domestic Architecture; Selected Maine Coast Postcards of George S.
