Collection Scope and Content

This collection consists of a manuscript of literary criticism about Sarah Orne Jewett’s work. Aydelott’s dissertation was titled Maine Stream: A Bibliographical Reception Study of Sarah Orne Jewett.

Biographical/Historical Note

Kathrine Cole Aydelott received her Ph.D in English from the University of Connecticut in 2005, where she studied the work of Sarah Orne Jewett. She received her MLIS from Simmons College in 2006. She has worked in various libraries, most recently at Phillips Academy.
