Manage Citations

A citation manager is software that helps you collect, organize, cite, and share your research sources.

Citation managers allow you to:

  • Save and organize sources
  • Import PDFs of articles
  • Generate reference lists/bibliographies
  • Format citations in a variety of citation styles (always check generated citations carefully!)
  • Insert in-text citations into your paper
  • Annotate your sources
  • Share with a group and collaborate with others
