Join us for an online book club focused on The Happiness Project: Or, Why I Spent A Year Trying to Sing in the Morning, Clean my Closets, Fight Right, Read Aristotle, and Generally Have More Fun by Gretchen Rubin. This club is a partnership with The Legacy Scholars and the Center for Excellence in Aging and Health. UNE students, faculty and staff are encouraged to participate in this cross-generational conversation.
About The Happiness Project
This book details the author’s quest to live a year focused on her own happiness. Drawing from current scientific research, folk-wisdom and philosophy, the author applies what we know about what makes you happy to her own life. The Happiness Project has inspired segments on social media and television episodes as well as book groups across the globe.

- Session 1 – Getting Started, January, September, October & November
- This session covers the ‘About Me’ sections of passion, mindfulness, attitude and vitality
- Monday, October 7, 12 p.m. – 1 p.m.
- Session 2 – February, April, June & August
- Covers the ‘Relationships’ sections describing marriage, parenthood, friendship and faith/eternity
- Monday, October 21, 12 p.m. – 1 p.m.
- Session 3 – March, May, July & December
- Focuses on Work-Life Balance, Money & Happiness, and Conclusion
