Artists Jackie Brown, Meg Brown Payson, and Carter Shappy will be joined by UNE Histology and Imaging Core Manager Peter Caradonna to discuss the power of embracing the unknown as part of the creative process. From the perspective of both artistic studio practice and rigorous scientific inquiry, we will hear directly about the crucial role that an openness to unanswered questions plays in the production of new and unexpected work. Work on view in “Spark of Life”, open through February 16th, is a testament to the power of these ideas.

Free and open to the public; gathering begins at 4:30pm and talk to start promptly at 5:00. Light refreshments will be served. See this map for the location of our gallery; free parking.
