You can borrow any of our fiction and non-fiction books, including popular reading, children’s, and young adult titles, as well as educational and entertainment films on DVD.

We also have games, device chargers, noise-cancelling headphones, bicycles, passes to Maine State Parks and the Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens, and more!

Audio Books, e-books & Streaming Video

The vast majority of our collections are available to read online.  Download popular e-books and audiobooks with cloudLibrary. Find educational, classic, and indie films in the Academic Video Online and Kanopy streaming video databases.

Borrow from Other Libraries

If we don’t have what you are looking for, you can request a free copy through MaineCat or UNE Interlibrary Loan. Your items will be delivered for free to your UNE Campus. Learn more about interlibrary loan.

Online Resources

In addition to our research databases, you have access to all of the online resources offered by the Maine State Library. The Digital Maine Library contains resources for language learning, genealogy, crafts, K-12 education, book recommendations, DIY and more. Use your UNE ID and password to log in.

Newspapers & Magazines

Our subscriptions include popular magazine and journal titles such as The Chronicle of Higher Education and Consumer Reports, as well as local and regional newspapers including The Portland Press Herald.
