Join us for a Freedom to Read table and reading event on Friday, September 27 from 10am-12pm in front of the library – or inside in case of rain. This event highlights the rise in censorship in the US, and encourages people to learn about this threat to our First Amendment rights. We will have information about the current threats to our freedom to read, a variety of challenged books to read from, and some fun take-aways for those who participate. Come read from your favorite banned book, learn about resources available to fight censorship in your community, and have fun with us!
